Why does the FY26 net loss matter?
Behind the strong book is a hard number. For the year ended 31 March 2026, MV Electrosystems reported total income of Rs 49.79 crore, down about 23% from Rs 64.64 crore in FY25. Net profit swung from a small gain of Rs 1.40 crore in FY25 to a net loss of Rs 12.63 crore in FY26.
The company links the swing to a transition phase. It secured Chittaranjan Locomotive Works approval for its indigenously designed IGBT-based 3-Phase Drive Propulsion equipment in September 2025 and began commercial supplies to Indian Railways in March 2026. That order book is still building. Investors reading a broader IPO conversation, from the SBI Funds Management IPO opening to the Indo MIM Day 2 filings, will recognise this pattern of book strength meeting mixed fundamentals.

The GMP question, answered honestly
Grey market premium is a price quoted by unofficial dealers before listing. It is not regulated by SEBI, not backed by any exchange, and is not a forecast. For MV Electrosystems, unofficial GMP trackers have shown a range of roughly Rs 100 to Rs 135 over the past week, and a level near Rs 120 through the close. That translates to an unofficial premium of about 28% over the upper band, but the number can change every hour.
The safer reads are the official ones: the RHP filed with SEBI on 23 July 2026, the exchange subscription data from BSE and NSE, and the anchor book already on record. Allotment can be verified from 4 August on the registrar’s site and the BSE and NSE portals.

When does the MV Electrosystems IPO close?
The mainboard IPO closes for bidding on Monday, 3 August 2026, after opening on 30 July. Allotment is scheduled for 4 August, with tentative listing on BSE and NSE on 6 August 2026.
What is the MV Electrosystems IPO price band and lot size?
The price band is Rs 400 to Rs 425 per share, on a face value of Rs 5. The lot size is 34 shares, so the minimum retail application at the upper band is Rs 14,450.
Is the MV Electrosystems IPO GMP official?
No. Grey market premium is an unofficial price set by grey market dealers, not regulated by SEBI or backed by any exchange. It is a sentiment indicator only, not a listing forecast.
When is MV Electrosystems IPO allotment and listing?
Allotment is expected on Tuesday, 4 August 2026, with credit to demat accounts and refunds on 5 August. Tentative listing on BSE and NSE is on Thursday, 6 August 2026.
